Product Information

You can take 2 to 4 softgels daily (2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon) preferrably with meals.

For best results, take 4 softgel (2000mg) of Ruby of the Sea® Oil daily for your natural repair. Two (2) 500mg soft gels in the morning and two (2) 500mg softgels around noon or evening to ensure continuous access to the Calanus nutrients.

** Please Note: Participants at these clinical trials and scientific studies are taking 2000mg (4 softgels) a day.

As Ruby of the Sea® Oil is derived from a crustacean, people with shellfish allergies should be careful.

They react on tropomycin, which is a fairly big protein molecule. This is not present in the oil, so we usually advise people with shellfish allergies to be cautious but in most cases they can use the oil.

No, you do not need to take it with food but it is preferred since some individuals may experience some aftertaste of crustacean.

Are there any side effects of taking this supplement?

No serious, adverse effects have been reported. There are always individual experiences from people, both positive and negative reports, but these may be random. Calanus® Oil has been in the market since 2010.

Benefits

Ruby of the Sea® Oil can potentially be of benefit in the prevention of obesity, metabolic syndrome, inflammatory (bowel) disorders, aerobic capacity and endurance.*

Ruby of the Sea® Oil comes in a wax ester form that burns slower than triglycerides found in fish oil and phospholipids found in krill oil.

This slow burn allows the essential fatty acids to be absorbed in the posterior part of your intestine/gut (the sweet spot) where the GR120 receptors are located that regulate fat distribution, glucose tolerance, and immune responses.

Most of the essential fatty acids in fish and krill are absorbed before they reach this sweet spot.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil may help the following conditions:

High cholesterol levels/heart disease*

Joints, ligaments and muscles*

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)*

Increased metabolism*

Beauty and skin*

Credentials

Purehealth Corporation works with the Calanus fishery to distribute Ruby of the Sea® Oil under the strict law of the Norwegian government.

We believe in complete traceability with care. Every batch of our Ruby of the Sea® Oil is tested and certified in a lab. Certificate of Analysis is available upon request.

It is the only marine oil with omega-3 and mono-unsaturated fatty acids bound as wax esters.

The slow digestion of wax esters and release of fatty acids in the colon are what alleviate adipose tissue inflammation, which improves whole body sugar sensitivity.

Its high content of EPA precursor Stearidonic Acid (SDA) boosts EPA Levels, thus reducing the risk of major coronary events.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil is 100% natural and the purest marine oil, processed without solvents, found in the pristine Norwegian sea.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil has a potent anti-inflammatory action through Stearidonic Acid (SDA) and antioxidant astaxanthin, in addition to classic Omega-3s of EPA and DHA. SDA competes with omega-6 fatty acid GLA for the elongase enzyme, thereby reducing the amount of GLA being converted to pro-inflammatory arachidonic acid.

Finally, reduced deposition of intra-abdominal fat supports adipocyte health, resulting in reduced low-grade inflammation. Fish and Krill oil only contain EPA AND DHA Omega-3 fatty acids.

The wax esters in Ruby of the Sea® Oil are digested in the distal intestine (sweet spot), giving a slow but complete uptake, which also allows for interaction with GPR120 receptors, which are in the colon. This receptor interaction gives metabolic effects and reduction of intra-abdominal- and liver fat deposition. Most of the essential fatty acids in fish and krill are absorbed before they reach the sweet spot.

Omega-3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) which basically are the fundamental for human diet, physiology and overall health. These Omega-3 essential fatty acids are critical at every stage of our lives as it is known to support heart, brain and eye health. These critical nutrients provides anti-inflammatory contribution to our body as we age. For years, we have discovered two common Omega-3 fatty acids - eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) commonly found in marine oils such as Calanus® Oil, Fish and Krill oil.

Human bodies do not have the ability to make Omega-3s and we have to obtain it through our diet. Unfortunately most people do not obtain enough Omega-3 fatty acids directly from foods. Dietary supplements are the only practical way to increase levels of these important acids in our body. According to the American Heart Association, we do not consume enough Omega-3 fatty acids required to prevent the highest mortality of death in America due to heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. Research shows that people would benefit from taking an Omega-3 supplement daily.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil is the only ingredient that contains SDA in addition to EPA and DHA.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil is naturally potent and originates from the new resource Calanus finmarchicus, a tiny copepod which is the most abundant animal species on the planet, and the engine of the Norwegian Sea ecosystem (Skjoldal, 2004).

The 3-4 mm long Calanus finmarchicus is a free-living crustacean with a life cycle of one year unlike fish and krill who have a 5 year life span. Over a 5 year life span, heavy metals and water pollution can contaminate the fish and krill.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil is 100% natural and pure from the Norwegian Sea, processed without solvents.

SDA is an omega-3 fatty acid that can be converted to EPA in the body. SDA also serves as a powerful activator of intestinal receptors that regulates the body´s handling of sugar, fat and inflammation processes. Ruby of the Sea® is the only commercially available marine source of SDA in addition to EPA and DHA.

Ruby of the Sea® is a fantastic Omega-3 nutrient. These essential fatty acid has a role to play for every stage of your lives from the day you were born to your golden years.

You should take Omega-3 if your diet is not as good as it should be. Most modern diets contain high levels of Omega-6 which is in virtually all processed foods from crisps to granola and the vegetable oils we cook at home. Even if you have a healthy diet, you may still be eating too much Omega-6 without realizing it. Fresh meat will contain Omega-6 unless it is grass fed animals, while cows and chickens are frequently fed corn and soy which are high in Omega-6. The bottom line is that Ruby of the Sea® decreases inflammation, whereas Omega-6 increases inflammation.

These days, Omega-3 is one of the best researched supplements on the planet. With benefits that range from cholesterol cleaning agent in the arteries to reducing risk for heart disease, blood pressure, and diabetes to improving brain functioning and fetal brain development. Arthritis is the most common condition of aging adult affecting 20 million worldwide and taking Omega-3 can alleviate that pain.

So the main question should be, is there anyone who really shouldn’t be taking Ruby of the Sea® supplement?

Ruby of the Sea® gives additional benefits by supporting insulin sensitivity, thereby optimizing metabolism of sugar and fat.

Wax ester is the natural molecular form of omega-3 in Ruby of the Sea®. A wax ester is digested more slowly than other omega-3 molecules (like triglycerides from fish oil and phospholipids from krill oil) and will therefore reach, and activate, important receptors in the distal intestine.

These receptors regulate sugar- and fat handling as well as several inflammation processes in the body. Wax esters are considered to be very potent omega-3 molecules.

Ruby of the Sea® Oil differs from fish and krill oils in several ways. Ruby of the Sea® Oil is 100% natural and the purest marine oil, processed without solvents, found in the pristine Norwegian sea.
